GRAND OPENNING OF OUR NEW GUNSMITH BUISINESS IN MONTANA AS OF 12/12/2023.
I am Charlie Sunderlin, Master Gunsmith. I have been in the gunsmithing business since 1975 when I first apprenticed to Bently Toxvard at Shenandoah Guns in Berryville, near my hometown of Winchester, Virginia. I have studied and have been factory trained in Germany, Italy and the USA. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice from the Virginia Commonwealth University. I have worked for H&K, a factory rep for Remington, Leupold and Crimson Trace. I am a retired Captain from the US Army. I have owned my own licensed gunsmithing business since 1993.
My wife, Geri Sunderlin, retired from Intel Corporation after 32 years. She and I work together in our small Mom & Pop Shop. She manages the back office while I concentrate of the technical aspects of the business. We have a true partnership to serve your firearm needs. Our aim is to provide exceptional service to our customers.
By personally consulting with you about what you want to accomplish with a repair or build, and the affordability of different options available, the best performance solution can be found for you here in our shop. Having had the privilege of studying under great craftsmen on two continents, I strive to make them proud when they see my work. When the job is done, I want you to be proud of your gun's appearance and confident in its safety and performance. We believe that each job done for a customer is an advertisement for our business. It has to be done right, because work-of-mouth advertising holds integrity, value and honesty that is very important to our moral code of ethics.
With over 48 years in the trade, I have had the opportunities to work on everything from antique muzzleloaders to self-propelled 155mm howitzers. Regardless of your needs I have the experience and skills to make your guns perform better. Antique restorations, appraisals, blueprinting rifles, 1911 and AR-15 work, Glock's, lever actions and revolvers; are all fun to work on.
Charlie and Geri are both U.S. Army Veterans from the 1970's who were stationed in Europe at different times. We grew up on opposite sides of America, but our values are the same. We have been married for 20+ years and have 3 wonderful kids between us, who are adults now. Charlie has been in the firearm industry in one way or other for the past 48 years, while Geri focused her career in Telecommunications and Project Management. Together our combined skills makes us a great team. We have had this business in several different states (Virginia, Idaho, Utah, Oregon and now Montana) but had to move for our primary careers over the past years until we retired.
Our Gunsmithing business has unexpectedly worked as a Ministry too. The Lord has sent us people that need more than their firearms fixed. We listen humbly for ways to pay His blessing forward.
We are immensely grateful to have met so many wonderful people who have come through our doors. We have entered a new chapter in our lives through our Lord's calling. We trust and have faith that our new adventure will show us new purpose. As of today, December 12th, 2023 we have declared the opening of our new Gunsmithing business in Montana. We at Dominion Accuracy of Montana LLC would like to welcome our new clients to our Gunsmithing business in Bigfork, MT.
God Speed and Be Well.
